In 1996, journalist and college admissions expert Loren Pope published Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges. The book, now in its fourth edition features liberal arts schools that are particularly good at educating the whole student and that focus their energies on excellence in teaching. Schools featured in the book now collaborate on informational events in cities across the U.S.
