Ask an Earlhamite
Ask an Earlhamite is an easy, accessible way for Earlham students and alumni to connect, share expertise, and support one another. Whether you are seeking advice, sharing expertise, or looking to build new relationships, this platform helps bring Earlhamites together.
Students can use Ask an Earlhamite to seek advice from alums with relevant experience, while alums can use the platform to offer guidance, share professional expertise, answer questions, and connect with fellow Earlhamites. Whether you are exploring a new career path, looking for insight from someone in a specific field, or hoping to connect with alums in a particular region or industry, Ask an Earlhamite helps make those connections easier.
This tool is available at no charge, is easy to use, and does not require an app, registration, or login.
Here’s how it works
Alums and students can visit ask.earlham.edu and submit a question. Once a question is received, AI-powered software will match it with alums who are well-suited to answer based on their experience, background, location, or interests. If you are a good match, you will automatically receive the question via email.
When you receive an email with a question, you can choose the most convenient way to respond, by email, phone call, or virtual meeting. It’s totally up to you!
Questions are only shared when there is a match, so it could take hours, weeks, or even months before you receive a question to answer. As Ask an Earlhamite continues to grow, question volume will increase as more Earlhamites join the platform. Just keep an eye out for messages from [email protected].
And remember, you can ask questions, too! Build your network, seek professional advice, find Earlhamites near you, or connect with alumni in a particular career field. With a network of more than 17,000 living alumni, there is a good chance a fellow Earlhamite is ready to help!
