Homecoming and Reunion Weekend

There’s nothing quite like Homecoming & Reunion Weekend at Earlham; it’s a chance to reconnect with old friends, celebrate milestone reunions for classes ending in “1” and “6,” cheer on the Quakers, and experience the energy of campus today.

Mark your calendar for October 15–18, 2026, and start making your travel plans. Hotel blocks and lodging information are available now, so you can book your stay early and make plans to return to the Heart.

Registration opens in July.

Thursday, October 15

Arriving on campus and ready for lunch? Visit the Dining Hall or Café 1847 in Runyan Center and pay at the door—no advance purchase needed.

Have a question, need directions, or want to connect with the Homecoming team? Stop by the Information Tent for help, conversation, and a chance to spin the prize wheel for Earlham swag.

2:00–6:30 p.m. | Homecoming Registration & Welcome Center

Make this your first Homecoming stop! Check in, pick up your name tag and schedule, and enjoy a few treats and giveaways to start the weekend.

4:00–6:00 p.m. | Ethan Solomon Climbing Wall Open Climb
📍 Athletics & Wellness Center

Whether you’re trying the wall for the first time or already know the ropes, the climbing wall will be open and ready. Gear is provided—just come ready to climb.

7:00 p.m. | Documentary Screening of “Women Laughing” and Q&A with Liza Donnelly ‘77
📍Wilkinson Theater, Runyan Center Explore

Women Laughing, Liza Donnelly ’77’s documentary about The New Yorker’s women cartoonists, then stay for a Q&A with Liza.

Friday, October 16

Reunion classes ending in “1” and “6” will have dedicated spaces to gather throughout the day. Drop in to relax, reconnect, and make plans with classmates. Visit the Information Tent or Homecoming Registration for your class lounge location.

See engaged learning in action as students share projects, research, off-campus study experiences, and other hands-on work from across the Earlham experience.

Gather with this year’s Alumni Award honorees and Hall of Fame inductees for a celebratory reception before the ceremony.

📍 Athletics & Wellness Center

Take a break and try the climbing wall in the Athletics and Wellness Center. All equipment is provided, and climbers of all experience levels are welcome.

Join us as we honor Earlham alumni whose leadership, service, achievements and athletic accomplishments reflect the very best of the Earlham community.

Celebrate Homecoming downtown with food trucks, a live DJ, Earlham-themed cocktails, games, and plenty of time to reconnect with friends old and new.

Saturday, October 17

7:00 a.m. | Morning Bird Walk
📍 Meet at Stout Meetinghouse

Begin Saturday with fresh air, birdsong, and a guided walk led by Wendy Tori, Professor of Biology and Martha Sykes Hansen Endowed Chair in Biology for Ornithology. Light breakfast treats will be provided.

8:30 a.m. | Golden & Emeriti Reunion Classes Breakfast

Alumni from the classes of 1951 and earlier through 1976 are invited to a special breakfast celebrating Earlham’s Golden and Emeriti reunion classes. Enjoy a morning of conversation, memories, and a visit from Jenny Freed of the Earlham Archives.

Walk or run with President Paul Sniegowski in support of Earlham Cross Country and in memory of Dennis Hinkle ’64. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, registration is free, and race-day gifts will be matched in support of the team.

Hear from President Paul Sniegowski about Earlham today, current priorities, and the road ahead.

Enjoy a relaxed buffet lunch in the Dining Hall and reconnect over a favorite part of the Earlham experience: gathering around the table.

1:30–2:30 p.m. | In the Classroom with Earlham – Session 1
📍 Various Locations

Return to the classroom for a taste of Earlham learning today. Choose from mini-classes that invite you to explore a favorite topic or discover something new. Check back as sessions are added.

Enjoy one last meal together before heading home. The Sunday breakfast buffet is a relaxed chance to say goodbye and wrap up the weekend.

Class of 1976, gather once more for breakfast, reflection, and a warm farewell to your 50th reunion weekend.

10:00 a.m. | Clear Creek Meeting for Worship
📍 Stout Meetinghouse

Join the Richmond community for a quiet, unprogrammed Quaker meeting for worship in Stout Meetinghouse.

1:00 p.m. | College Meeting for Worship
📍 Stout Meetinghouse

Close the weekend in worship with music, reflection, and messages from members of the Earlham community.

4:00–6:00 p.m. | Ethan Solomon Climbing Wall Open Climb
📍 Athletics & Wellness Center

End the weekend with one more chance to climb. Equipment is provided, and all skill levels are welcome.
