Dance Alloy

Dance Alloy, founded in 1990, is one of Earlham’s largest and longest-running student organizations. Entirely student-run and student-funded, Dance Alloy celebrates dancers of all identities and fosters a collaborative creative community.

Each semester, the company stages a full-scale production featuring original works by students and faculty in styles like contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, African, Bollywood, salsa, swing, step, K-pop, and more. Our mission is to provide a welcoming performance outlet for anyone passionate about expressing themselves through movement—no prior experience required.

At the beginning of each semester, the Dance Alloy Steering Committee hosts interest meetings to recruit choreographers and dancers. Choreographers set their own rehearsal schedules, and all pieces perform at Works in Progress I & II before the final shows. The Steering Committee partners with its advisor, AV crew, and Student Life teams to produce these exciting biannual performances.
