A message from
Bonita Washington-Lacey
Dean of Students
As the Dean of Students, I want all Earlham students to feel welcomed, listened to and respected as they engage with us in the Student Life Office. The role of the Dean of Students is to assist you in your transition and continued growth as a member of the Earlham community. Our goal is to be mindful of creating a living learning space that supports and challenges you to expand your ideas and ways of knowing and being. We are here to support you as you learn to live in community and assist you as challenges arise.
In the Student Life Office, we will keep you apprised of opportunities, expectations, policies and procedures that inform your safety, well-being and contribution to and within the Earlham community. In our effort to “do good” it is imperative that we seek goodness in our peers and offer goodness to those around us. When we fall short of our terms of engagement, we will utilize Principles and Practices to guide our interactions and responses, before use of the Student Conduct Code.
In every aspect of our work in the Student Life Office — from Counseling to Athletics, Wellness to Religious Life, Student Engagement to Residence Life, Academic Enrichment to Health Services and more, we are committed to help you excel and thrive during your four years at Earlham.
We look forward to celebrating with you on your Earlham Journey.
