For Good: The Campaign for Earlham College, which began in 2018 and concluded in June 2024, was the most ambitious and successful fundraising effort in the College’s history. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends, we raised $118 million, surpassing our original goal of $85 million. By securing the Epic Journey, elevating the student experience and widening the path to an Earlham education for future Earlhamites, these gifts will benefit Earlham students — for today, for tomorrow, for good.

A Transformative Grant Opportunity: Revitalize Richmond
In addition to overwhelming support from Earlham donors, the campaign has also been boosted by a $25 million grant from Lilly Endowment’s College and Community Collaboration initiative. We will use the grant — and $83 million in matching funds from partners in the community — to support initiatives in Richmond’s downtown that will help us recruit and retain future generations of students and employees who will add to the vitality of our community. Together, we’ll transform downtown into a destination that unites people eager to celebrate and renew our shared history of community pride and growth.
