Go Anywhere.
Internships, student-faculty research and off-campus study aren’t nice-to-haves, or something students should have to fit into their schedules—or budgets. We believe no college education is complete without them. That is why we created the Epic Journey, our signature student success program. These experiences are what prepare our students to be crystal clear about the good they want to do in the world, and it’s our responsibility to make them accessible to all. No matter what.
Help us guarantee every Earlham student at least one fully funded experience like this.

Empower Collaborative Research
Student-faculty research is a hallmark of the Epic Journey, and these experiences are foundational to academic and professional success. Current funding levels don’t allow the College to fund every worthy research project that is proposed. Additional funding will sustain our strong research program in the sciences—and encourage faculty to create new opportunities in the arts and humanities. It will allow students to benefit from multiple research collaborations during their four years at Earlham. And it will allow us to continue sending teams of students and faculty on life-changing research trips all over the world.
Fund Career-Discerning Internships
Through the Epic Advantage, a key component of the Epic Journey, Earlham guarantees that every student has access to a fully funded internship, research or scholarly experience—including, in some cases, international travel expenses. As one of only a handful of U.S. colleges and universities to make such a commitment, we promise an experience that helps students discern their career goals—and we deliver on that promise.

Expand Off-Campus Study Opportunities
Earlham is consistently ranked as a national leader in global education. For more than half a century, Earlham students have participated in immersive, faculty-led study programs all over the world. While tuition covers the cost of the program, the incremental costs associated with travel—including airfare and visa fees—are an insurmountable barrier for many students. Today, 65 percent of Earlham students participate in an off-campus program. With additional support, we can make this opportunity possible for every student who wishes to participate, regardless of their ability to pay.
