Princeton Review recognizes Earlham College as a top value in higher education

Earlham College has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s best values in higher education, according to the Princeton Review.

The popular college guide’s “Best Value Colleges” for 2024 lists and rankings are based on surveys of administrators at 650 institutions. The surveys covered academic offerings, cost, financial aid, career services, graduation rates and student debt. The Princeton Review also factored in data from PayScale.com’s surveys of alumni about their starting and midcareer salaries and job satisfaction to compile the list.

In addition to excellence in value, the Princeton Review also ranked Earlham the fifth best “Schools for Making an Impact” in a ranking of just 20 private colleges and universities. Institutions selected for this list were based on student ratings and responses to survey questions covering community service opportunities at their school, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus student engagement. Data from PayScale.com was also taken into account for schools with the highest percentage of alumni reporting satisfaction in their careers.

“We highly recommend the schools that made our Best Value Colleges lists for 2024” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of the Princeton Review. “They share three compelling distinctions. All provide outstanding academics. All support their undergraduates with stellar career services. All demonstrate impressive commitments to affordability via extremely generous financial aid for students with need and/or a comparatively low sticker price. Also, good news for students considering these schools: 42 percent of the colleges admit 50 percent or more of their applicants.”

Earlham is featured consistently in many other “best of” lists and rankings published by the Princeton Review each year. Last September, the college guide recognized Earlham as one of the nation’s best classroom experiences — for the eighth year in a row.
