Class of 1963 Chair
How did Earlham help prepare you for your current career?
“Earlham prepared me not only for a career in my chosen major, Biology, but also for embracing change and thus the career changes I subsequently experienced – a valuable skill beyond that of ‘official’ academics.”
Why do you volunteer for the college?
“I strongly believe in the value of a globally relevant liberal arts education, especially at this time, and one that supports an international perspective as well as Earlham’s values of social responsibility. Earlham’s academic and curricular programs are of high quality and relevance, and I believe students will and can more effectively thrive in this environment.”
Favorite Earlham memory?
“There were many fun and challenging experiences, but the introduction to so many new ideas and individuals with different backgrounds and experiences definitely stands out.”
