How did Earlham help prepare you for your current career?

“August Wilderness, the diversity of classes in the HDSR major, team work required on so many group projects, leadership opportunities available to students, the strong focus on learning the subject matter offered by passionate professors, and practicing problem solving in so many ways all helped prepare me for my life time of work with people in human organizations, most recently at a therapeutic residential program for young woman working through addictions, trauma, and various mental and emotional challenges.”

Why do you volunteer for the college?

“Earlham has such a special place in my heart as those experiences grounded me in my education, built lifelong friendships with classmates, and was the springboard to making a difference in the world around me. Giving back feels right!”

Favorite Earlham memory?

“Countless favorite memories include the many hours of rehearsal and preparation for various performances with the choral groups led by Dan Graves, both on and off campus. Being able to perform as Princess Winnifred the Woebegone in Once Upon a Mattress was a unique thrill I will always cherish!”
