Seeking your creative solutions for social change!
A hallmark of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity is educating students about social entrepreneurship: using established methods for starting a business or organization to bring about social change or impact a cause.

Since 2017 student teams have entered the CEIC’s social entrepreneurship competitions, developing business plans to address topics of social concern.
While learning teamwork and leadership skills, teams have focused on issues from Richmond to Vietnam and points in between. Workshops conducted by experts guide students through every step of the process: finances, marketing, the elevator pitch and more.
Competitions take place in the spring in several rounds, culminating in the awarding of prizes. Winners have received up to $20,000 to help turn their visions into reality.
Support for programming
A number of individuals and organizations have made these competitions possible and have enabled many Earlham students to benefit from broader CEIC programming. We are grateful for their generosity and interest in giving students unique experiences that complement and build upon their academic work.
