Earlham College ranks No. 1 in Indiana for diversity and No. 2 among the state’s best liberal arts colleges in Niche.com’s new 2026–27 rankings, adding to a growing list of national and state recognition for the College. Niche is a leading website providing college information to students and families.
Earlham also earned Top 10 rankings in other Indiana categories, including:

- #5 “Colleges with Best Academics in Indiana”
- #5 “Colleges with the Best Professors in Indiana”
- #9 “Best Colleges for Student-Athletes in Indiana”
In Niche’s national rankings, Earlham is ranked 63rd overall among the “Best Liberal Arts Colleges in America.”
The Niche recognition follows Earlham’s recent inclusion in The Princeton Review’s The Best 392 Colleges for 2027, placing Earlham among the top 14% of four-year colleges nationwide.
Earlham has also earned longstanding recognition from U.S. News & World Report, which consistently ranks the college among the Top 100 National Liberal Arts Colleges and “Best Value Schools.”
