About me

I currently serve as the vice president for institutional advancement, overseeing Earlham’s fundraising and alumni engagement operations. I previously served as the senior associate vice president for strategic initiatives and continue to handle the College’s work with planned gifts. Additionally, I have a roster of major gift and annual fund prospects, oversee community relations, and support the College’s president by helping to leverage the president’s coverage, time and effort on achieving the strategic mission and goals of the College. I also serve as a member of the College’s cabinet.

I graduated from Earlham in 1990 and went on to work on my master’s degree at Ball State University while teaching special education in the Richmond Community Schools. In 1993, I returned to Earlham to work as an assistant dean of admissions, charged with starting our first alumni and admissions program. After two years in admissions, I joined the Alumni and Development Office as the assistant director of alumni relations. In 1997, I became the director of alumni relations, serving in that position for five years.

In 2001, I became the director of planned giving, assuming the duties of the associate vice president title a year later. I previously served as the interim vice president for institutional advancement for a portion of the 2017-2018 academic year.
