About me

I am responsible for overseeing initiatives identified by the President and her Cabinet as strategic priorities centered on widening the path to an Earlham education and operationalizing the College’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan.

Prior to joining the Earlham community, I held positions in enrollment management, fundraising, and marketing communications at Antioch College, Goddard College, Nova Southeastern University, and Miami Dade College. I was most recently the vice president for enrollment and student success at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

I began my career as a journalist and wrote breaking news and features for The Palm Beach Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, and (New Orleans) Times Picayune. My short fiction has been published in The Caribbean Writer, carte blanche, Tupelo Quarterly, Crossing Borders, Obsidian: Literature in the African Diaspora, and So Spoke the Earth. My critical essay, “Finding Identity in the Space Between Haiti and the U.S.,” is included in Representations of Internarrative Identity (Palgrave MacMillan, 2015). I taught writing at Goddard College, Broward College, Florida Career College, and Antioch College, where I established the Writing Institute and wrote expository and creative writing into the curriculum.
