The eclipse begins at 1:52 p.m. Totality will occur at 3:09 p.m. and last for three minutes and 50 seconds. The entire eclipse will end at 4:24 p.m.

Seth Hopper, associate professor of physics, astronomy and engineering, will be hosting an eclipse viewing session on The Heart with multiple telescopes. He will begin setting up before noon. Technology permitting, the whole event will be streamed on Earlham’s YouTube page.

In the case of inclement weather, Seth will be in room 300 of the Center for Science and Technology hosting a livestream on Earlham’s YouTube page (over live footage provided by NASA). He’ll answer questions and show photos uploaded to Earlham’s eclipse web page by friends of the College.
