In-Person Campus Visit FAQs

Please arrive on campus as close to your scheduled tour time as possible. Free parking is available at one of the Admission Visitor Parking spots on the main drive or in the adjacent parking lots. Campus map link: Earlham College Campus Map. After parking, come to the Admission Office in Tyler Hall.

We try to keep tours small to facilitate interaction between the tour guide and the prospective student and their guests. There will be up to four families per tour.

Information sessions begin at 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Campus tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday information sessions are available during the academic year, starting at 10:00 a.m. with a tour following at 10:45 a.m. All times are in EST.

We do not limit the number of guests.

We do offer the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor, coach, professor or another Earlham community member based on availability. Please indicate whom you would like to meet with on your registration form.

We will offer bottled water to keep you hydrated during your visit. Self service Keurig hot beverages are also available.

The dining hall is open for lunch from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and for dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. during the academic year. Hours may vary during breaks. You can view the menu here.

Cafe 1847 (on campus) offers grab-and-go dining options from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on weekends during the academic year. Hours may vary during breaks.

In addition, we recommend a number of restaurants in Richmond that offer both in-person dining as well as take-out. A list of options are available in the Office of Admissions or at https://visitrichmond.org/visitors/places-to-eat.

For those who indicate on their registration form that they will be on campus by or before noon, we will offer a voucher to eat lunch in the dining hall on campus for your party. The dining hall may not be open during the summer and during breaks in the academic year when classes are not in session.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are exhibiting any symptoms, please refrain from traveling. Re-schedule your visit at a later date.
