Late Decision Application Round
Each spring, we hear from students who have found themselves reconsidering their college options — unsatisfied with their choices, rethinking their fit, or responding to shifting political, social, and campus climates. Earlham’s new Late Decision round was created for them.
What is Late Decision? A non-binding application round for a fall 2026 start, open to first-year applicants who have not previously applied to Earlham this academic year. It is separate from any waitlist activity.
Key Dates for Late Decision (2026)
To ensure you have the most flexibility as you make your final college decision, we’ll return an admissions decision to you in 7-10 days.
- April 8 — Application deadline (via Common App; select Regular Decision)
- May 1 — Accepted student reply date (extensions available by request)
We’re looking for deep intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a drive to make a positive difference in the world.
Earlham offers generous merit scholarships and has long been test-optional. Submit your FAFSA by April 8 for the best financial aid package.
Please note: Late Decision admissions will be at least as competitive as our earlier rounds — and likely more so. We strongly encourage applying to Earlham as early as possible.
