About me
In my work with the Center for Global Education, I manage Earlham’s off-campus study programs as well as the Epic Advantage summer projects and research programs. I also teach a public speaking course at Earlham, and I have served as a faculty leader for the August Wilderness program as well as the Camino de Santiago May Term. Prior to Earlham, I was a full-time instructor in both communication studies and peace and conflict studies.
During my junior year of high school, I studied abroad for a year in Quito, Ecuador through the Rotary Youth Exchange. I began to understand through that impactful experience the role education can play in helping us to shape and create a meaningful life that contributes to something larger than ourselves. When the opportunity arose to begin working in the off-campus programs office at Earlham, I jumped at the chance to combine my interests in teaching and study abroad. My work with off-campus programs has instilled in me a passion for high-impact learning practices and a firm belief that both theoretical and experiential education are essential components for every student’s career preparation.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places at home and abroad, running and hiking, cooking, reading, and enjoying time with my family.
