Danna O’Connell

About me

I first joined the Office of Institutional Advancement in 2013 as the director of annual giving. Earlham was the first place I had worked that truly felt like a community. As the catalyst for Earlham Day in 2015, I was in awe at the way colleagues across campus and alumni and donors around the globe joined me in launching this first-ever crowdfunding day for the College with their creativity, collaboration and their dollars.

Leaving Earlham in 2016 to become the vice president of development at the Alzheimer’s Association of the Miami Valley was a bittersweet choice, but an important one, as my family has been impacted by this disease. Ultimately, my husband and I decided to move back to Upstate New York in 2019 to be closer to our families. I joined the Advancement Office at Emma Willard School as the director of annual giving.

I am thrilled to have returned to Earlham in August 2022 and reunite with friends and meet many new ones. My husband Terry and I live in Saratoga Springs, NY near our parents, siblings and extended family.
