That’s why we created Epic for Athletes: a unique, funded off-campus program designed with student-athletes in mind.
Travel the world with your team
In addition to the Epic Advantage, Epic for Athletes is a part of the student-athlete’s Epic Journey at Earlham.
Through Epic for Athletes, you’ll explore your sport in another part of the country or world—developing your athletic ability through highly focused training as you also deepen your intercultural communication and learning.
Traveling together strengthens and elevates your team dynamic—plus, you’ll make memories with your teammates and coaches that will last a lifetime.
The result? You’ll be equipped to achieve your goals both on and off the playing field.
Integrate academics, athletics and service
At Earlham, we strive to provide you with opportunities and support that enrich and expand your college experience beyond the ordinary—all while helping you find balance between your life as a student and your life as an athlete.
There are three components of each Epic for Athletes program: academics, athletics and service.
Academics
Epic for Athletes is a for-credit experience. Your team will be accompanied by a member of the teaching faculty, and academic coursework will be a part of the experience.
Athletics
During your Epic for Athletes experience, your team will compete in new locations—offering you unique insight into what it’s like to experience how professional athletes and teams travel, engage in communities and leave their mark.
Service
Your team will also participate in service projects on location, so you can connect and give back to the local community.
