Earlham College is giving students greater flexibility in completing their degrees as part of a new\u00a0online\u00a0winter session<\/a> in January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Classes run from January 2-19 and will be taught by Earlham\u2019s nationally recognized teaching faculty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe designed this winter session with student success and retention in mind,\u201d said Rick Stephens, Earlham College interim provost and vice president of academic affairs. \u201cStudents can get ahead on their credits, catch up if they fall behind or spread out their course load to create greater flexibility in managing their future pursuits on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Registration runs from November 14 to December 8 for current students and non-matriculating students seeking to resume progress on their degree. Undergraduate students from other colleges and universities wishing to enroll must complete the visiting student online application<\/a> and provide a copy of their unofficial transcript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Courses include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis is an opportunity to learn in a highly focused environment by becoming immersed in a single subject,\u201d Earlham Registrar Corinne Deibel said. \u201cMany of these courses fulfill Earlham\u2019s general education requirements and will have broad appeal to students no matter their major or academic interest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students enrolled in winter term will have remote access to the same support services available during the fall and spring semesters, including the library, writing center, instructional technologies team, and information technology services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
