The\u00a0U.S. News & World Report\u00a0\u201cBest Colleges\u201d guidebook for 2024 recognizes Earlham\u2019s longstanding excellence in affordability and teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College is once again ranked among U.S. News\u2019 Top 100 national liberal arts colleges. Earlham also ranks 24th for best value and 36th for best undergraduate teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWidening the path to an Earlham education has been a priority of my presidency,\u201d Earlham President Anne Houtman said. \u201cThis recognition by U.S. News & World Report is an acknowledgement of this commitment and also a testament to the outstanding teaching and learning outcomes that we are known for.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 95 percent of Earlham students receive financial aid, which includes merit scholarships and need-based aid that significantly reduce the cost of attendance. Indiana students from low- and moderate-income backgrounds can also receive a tuition waiver through the INspire Earlham program<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the Epic Journey<\/a><\/strong>, Earlham\u2019s signature student success program, all students receive up to $5,000 to participate in an internship, research experience or other career discerning experience in locations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the U.S. News recognition, Earlham was recently ranked 13th<\/sup> in the New York Times<\/em>\u2019 new college-access index, which features schools with the greatest economic diversity on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In compiling the ranking, the New York Times<\/em> used Barron\u2019s Profiles of American Colleges and other metrics to rank 286 of some of the nation\u2019s most selective colleges and universities. Schools with the highest percentages of students receiving federal Pell grants ranked highest on the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlham was also recognized for excellence in higher education this fall by The Princeton Review\u2019s\u00a0Best 389 Colleges: 2024 edition<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and the Fiske Guide to Colleges\u2019 annual guide of the nation\u2019s \u201cbest and most interesting schools.\u201d The Princeton Review ranked Earlham 7th<\/sup>\u00a0nationally for \u201cBest Classroom Experience\u201d and 9th<\/sup>\u00a0among the country\u2019s most \u201cLGBTQ-friendly\u201d schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
