Fall Into Fitness Challenge
Challenge yourself to be physically active for 30 minutes for 30 days in the months of September and October. Complete any type of physical activity and earn points for each day completed. The program is self-paced. This means you can complete 10 minutes here, and 20 minutes there to equal to up to 30 minutes or more each day. The goal is to get up and move! Register anytime between September 15th and September 22nd.
If you are regularly physically active, you may:
- Reduce your risk of a heart attack
- Manage your weight better
- Have a lower blood cholesterol level
- Lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and some cancers
- Have lower blood pressure
- Have stronger bones, muscles and joints and lower risk of developing osteoporosis
- Lower your risk of falls
- Recover better from periods of hospitalization or bed rest
- Feel better – with more energy, a better mood, feel more relaxed and sleep better.

Getting started
Step 1: Complete the participant registration form between September 15th and September 22nd.
Step 2: Download and save the weekly tracking log.
Step 3: Follow the challenge results on the EarlhamAWC Facebook page.

Why participate?

Participation in Earlham College AWC activities, including the use of facilities and equipment, is completely voluntary. There are risks and hazards, minor and serious, associated with participation in fitness activities. Participants voluntarily assume all responsibility and risk of loss, damage, illness, and/or injury to person or property associated with the participation in the Fall Into Fitness Challenge. Participants are advised to check with a medical professional before starting any exercise program. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately and drink water before, during, and after exercise.

The Fall Into Fitness Challenge is open to all Earlham College faculty, staff, and students.
- All participants logging a minimum of 900 minutes (30 minutes per day for 30 days) will be entered into a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prize giveaway.
- Participants must keep track of daily activity time, then submit the weekly log form on Mondays at 11 AM.
- Failure to fill out the weekly walking log by each Monday at 11 AM will result in a forfeit from the challenge.

The Fall Into Fitness Challenge is open to all Earlham College faculty, staff, and students.
You may participate in physical activity anywhere, anytime, Monday-Sunday. Those who complete the 30-day challenge will have been active for a minimum of 900 minutes by the end of the challenge!. Challenge yourself to take a get up and move with a colleague or friend at lunch time or a 5-minute walk each hour—it all counts—whatever works for you!
To participate in the Fall Into Fitness Challenge, log your daily time spent being active on a weekly form to be submitted through a Box.com file submission on the challenge website. If you cannot be physically active 30 minutes a day, but you can complete a total of 210 minutes weekly, that will work as well. All participants logging a minimum of 900 minutes (30 minutes per day) will be entered into a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prize drawing.
