Summer Camps and Conferences

Welcome to Earlham College. This is your one-stop-shop for all of your summer camp and conference needs. We offer housing, dining, and facility space for camps and conferences of all sizes. You will find the best meeting spaces, athletic fields, recreational venues and lodging to host your camp or conference.

We hope you consider bringing your camp or conference to Earlham College. Camps and conferences are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the Office of Events at or 765-983-1373.


Earlham College is an 800-acre campus that includes Earlham College and the Earlham School of Religion. The campus is located in the heart of Richmond, Indiana. Conveniently located to major highways; our campus is within a 45-minute drive to Dayton, Ohio and 1.5-hour drive to Cincinnati, Ohio Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana.

Residence Halls

We have 8 residence halls ranging in available size and spaces. Your conference would stay in the residence hall that would best fit your size and needs. There are single, double, and triple rooms available, men and women’s bathrooms on every floor, and a common area in each hall.

Safety Features

Earlham College’s swipe-card access system provides optimal security in all of our residence halls. Card readers allow college security to limit access. The built-in alarm system also ensures that all residence halls and apartments remain secure at all times.

Dining Hall

Metz Culinary Management is our food service provider and they are proud to bring you the best dining program with a variety of tastes that are sure to please. When you step into the dining hall, you will see their locally sourced ingredients, our fresh and flavorful menus, our scratch prepared foods, and friendly and personal service. Metz also provides a wide range of cuisines for our guests, including options for vegetarian, vegan, and international diners.

Meeting Spaces

Runyan Center

The Runyan Center is the center of the campus community. Runyan Center offers a theatre with a max capacity of 325 and a multipurpose room with a max capacity of 200 depending on your seating set up. There are also several smaller meeting and conference rooms are available as well.

Academic Facilities

Auditoriums, classrooms, and computer labs are available in our various buildings. The maximum capacity for classrooms and auditoriums can reach 650, depending on the location and your needs. These spaces are excellent for giving your attendees the full camp or conference experience.

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services is responsible for providing the College's administrative computing, campus services, and audiovisual technology experiences. The staff is friendly, highly skilled, and service-oriented. They can provide a wide variety of audiovisual resources for your camp or conference.

Recreational Facilities

Athletics and Wellness Center

This facility features an indoor running track, a cardio and strength training room, a group fitness studio, an indoor climbing wall, four indoor tennis courts, two racquetball courts, a six-lane 25-meter pool, and the Druley Performance Gymnasium with seating for 1,800 guests.

Athletics Fields

If your camp or conference needs green space, we have it. We have soccer fields, practice fields, a football stadium and more.


Visitors who park any type of vehicle on the campus are required to have a parking pass visible in their front driver side dash. Parking passes will be distributed to all camps or conferences by the Office of Events or Office of Residence Life during check-in/registration. Vehicles parked by camps or conferences will not be ticketed as long as the parking pass is visible and they are legally parked. Any citations received for not following these instructions will be the responsibility of the owner/user of the vehicle.
