Earlham Excursions

Earlham Excursions are events that occur throughout the academic year which take students off Earlham College's campus to events and destinations in the area. Check out the excursions we have coming up below!

Upcoming Excursions 

On Saturday, March 21, 2020, Earlham students will be traveling to the Indianapolis, IN to see the Indianapolis Pacers take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Banker's Life Fieldhouse.

Students taking part in the trip should plan to depart campus from the parking lot outside of the Athletics & Wellness Center (AWC) around 5:00pm and return promptly after the game has ended.

The trip transportation and tickets are free for students, but they must sign up ahead of time as space is limited to the first 13 students who register. Students should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

Registration for this excursion opens at 8am on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Previous Excursions

On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Earlham students will be traveling to Jungle Jim's International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. This food market covers nearly six acres and features hundreds of thousands of products representing foods from over 70 countries from around the world!

Students taking part in the trip should plan to depart campus from the Carpenter Hall parking lot around 10am and return no later than 4pm.

The trip transportation is free for students, but they must sign up ahead of time as space is limited to the first 40 students who register. Students should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, Earlham students will be traveling to Cincinnati, OH to see the Cincinnati Reds take the field against the New York Mets.

More information about departure and return times will be shared soon!

The trip transportation and tickets are free for students, but they must sign up ahead of time as space is limited to the first 10 students who register. Students should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Earlham students will be traveling to the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art located in Indianapolis, Indiana in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day.

Students taking part in the trip should plan to depart campus from the Carpenter Hall parking lot around 9:30am and return no later than 3:00pm.

The trip transportation and tickets are free for students, but they must sign up ahead of time as space is limited to the first 40 students who register. Students should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

On Saturday, October 26, 2019, Earlham students will be traveling to Kings Island Amusement Park in Mason, OH for their annual Halloween Haunt. Rollercoasters, exhibits, and tons of Halloween fun will definitely give everyone the fright of their life.

Students taking part in the trip should plan to depart campus from the Carpenter Hall parking lot around 2:00pm and return no later than 10:00pm.

The trip costs $15 for students, and space is limited to the first 35 students who register. The ticket cost covers the park entrance fee and transportation. Students should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

Ticket sales will begin at 8:00am on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

On Saturday, February 1, 2020, Earlham students will be traveling to Perfect North Slopes in Dearborn, IN. 

Students taking part in the trip should plan to depart campus around 8:00am and return around 6:00pm. Student Life and Outdoor Education have worked together to reduce the student cost for attending this event, and students will only be responsible for $40 which can be billed to your student account or can be paid for using a credit card or debit card.  This will cover the cost of tickets, equipment rental, and lunch for the day. Student should plan to cover any additional expenses while on the trip.

Space is limited to the first 76 students who register.  Once we have 76 students registered, interested students will be able to register as an alternate in the event that a space becomes available.
