August Wilderness

August Wilderness is a pre-orientation experience for incoming first year and transfer students at Earlham College. Since the program began in 1971, August Wilderness has welcomed more than 1,800 students to Earlham. These adventuresome students begin their college careers with a wilderness expedition, making new friends, interacting with faculty members, and gaining self-confidence and self-sufficiency.
