Social Justice: Kneeling to Take a Stand

Mahmoud Abdul-RaufJoin Earlham College in celebrating Black History Month as Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf presents "Social Justice: Kneeling to Take a Stand." Twenty years before Colin Kaepernick did so, Abdul-Rauf protested the national anthem. Come learn why on Sunday, February 16th, at 7:00 p.m., in Goddard Auditorium. Note the new date and time.

Abdul-Rauf, a former NBA player and current social justice advocate, will speak about his life, reference prominent African American thinkers, philosophers, activists and athletes, discuss growing up as black person, and end with advice to those who want to be "activists" or stand for "social justice."

Sponsored by the Diversity Progress Committee, the Office of Religious Life, the Office of Student Life, and the Center for Social Justice.

Admission is free; no ticket is required.
