Richmond and Wayne County

GardensRichmond, Indiana is a wonderful city in which to live, work and study. It has a rich history — from its earliest records of Native American habitation, to its formal settlement by Quaker families in the early 1800s; from its importance in metalworking and woodworking in the early 1900s to its contributions to jazz music. This history has led Richmond to evolve into the thriving Midwestern city we know today.

Today, the Richmond/Wayne County area offers an abundant selection of restaurants, shops, churches and services; many recreational parks and activities; outstanding fine arts, which include a symphony, art gallery and civic theatre; and many volunteer opportunities.

For area accommodations, dining, events, festivals and other things to do, visit the Wayne County Convention & Tourism Bureau or WayNet.
