Full Dome Movies at Joseph Moore Museum

Full Dome Movies utilize the unique curved screen of the planetarium to project an immersive 20-40 minute long movie.

Movie tickets are $5 per person.

Take a wondrous journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum! Discover the many reasons for color — like why the sky is blue and why Mars is red. Take a tour within a plant leaf and journey inside the human eye. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back at your doctor's office. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light!

Undiscovered Worlds: The Search Beyond Our Sun

Alien worlds - they're out there! For the past 20 years, astronomers have found hundreds of orbiting stars in our galaxy and beyond. Come along on the search for extrasolar planets and see what astronomers are finding around distant stars with sophisticated telescopes and detection techniques. The show is suitable for all ages.

Discover what it means to live in today's connected world. The full dome movie explores the biological and artificial networks and their intersection, and how humans can protect these connections. The movie is suitable for all ages. This full dome movie is part of the family weekend events.

Dinosaurs at Dusk 

June 22 - 23: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm 

Ticket: $5/person

Travel through time in a full dome film adventure at the planetarium of the Joseph Moore Museum! The 30-minute film "Dinosaurs at Dusk" will take you on a prehistoric adventure. See a close-up view of the early Earth and the fantastic animals that once roamed its surface and ancient skies. Tickets are $5 a person.

Larry Cat in Space  

June 29 - 30: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm 

Ticket: $5/person

Take off on a lunar adventure with a curious stowaway cat - Larry! During 30 mins of the film, children will enjoy a delightful movie and explore more about lunar. The film is suitable for children of all ages, especially kids from 3-6 years old.
