Ivy Tech Transfer

Easily transfer from Ivy Tech to Earlham College

Graduates of Ivy Tech Community College can now transfer to Earlham College and earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as two years.

The agreements allow Ivy Tech students who have earned an associate degree in biology, chemistry, computer science, business administration, psychology, or human services to transfer to Earlham as juniors knowing every credit they have taken will count toward their degree requirements. In two years, and with an ordinary course load, these students can graduate from Earlham with corresponding bachelor degrees in biology, chemistry, computer science, global management, psychology or social services.

Why transfer to Earlham?

Earlham is among the first national liberal arts colleges to develop a strong partnership with a public community college, offering unprecedented learning opportunities for Ivy Tech graduates in their own backyard!

Earlham combines academic excellence with affordability to ensure that students get the most out of their college experience. The Princeton Review ranks us in the nation’s Top 20 for best classroom experience and U.S. News and World Report includes us in its list of top values in higher education.

Earlham also offers an advantage very rare in higher education: a funded internship, faculty-student research experience, or project before graduation.

Ivy Tech students at Earlham will benefit from a new initiative that significantly expands Earlham’s student advising resources and funds the development of a new “commuter lounge,” a space that will serve as an on-campus study space and home-away-from-home for non-residential students. This initiative, “Grow Where You’re Planted: Deepening Our Roots,” is supported by Lilly Endowment Inc.

Scholarships available to Ivy Tech students

When combined with federal and state grants, as well as outside scholarships, Earlham can be just as affordable as a public university.

Ivy Tech students considering Earlham as part of the fall 2021 entering class are eligible for Earlham’s Heartland Region Scholarship, which is worth $8,000 over four years on top of any other scholarships from Earlham.

For example, Earlham also offers up to $30,000 per year in merit-based aid for eligible students, helping students save considerably on the cost of tuition,
