Tell us about your classes this semester. Which are your favorites and why?

I am currently taking Organic Chemistry 2, Cell Physiology, General Physics, and Art Context and Meaning. My favorites are Organic Chemistry 2 and Cell Physiology. I love organic chemistry because the professor teaches the class so well and makes it fairly easy to understand. I love chemistry in general and organic chemistry interests me because I learned the techniques to make virtually any organic compound I want. Cell physiology interests me because I want to go into the medical field and this class provides the background information at a fundamental level in order to understand more complex cellular functions.

Why do you like Earlham?

I love Earlham for the sense of community it offers and how much the college prioritizes academics. All my professors know me by name and my classes are all small enough to where I feel like I am getting an individualized education. Also I love playing basketball here and all the other opportunities Earlham offers.

What are your plans post-Earlham?

My plans after Earlham are to go to medical school (probably in Chicago which is near family). I'm not sure exactly what type of doctor I want to become yet but I hope to specialize and maybe even go into surgery.

Anything else?

I would just like to thank my donor from the bottom of my heart. You've given me such a great opportunity to come to one of the greatest schools in the Midwest and for that I can't show enough appreciation.
