About me

I am a photographer who specializes in darkroom based, black and white, film photography and regularly show my work in solo and group exhibitions. I have led off campus programs in England and Turkey. Before I switched my focus to photography, I worked as an attorney in New York City, Dallas and Houston.

My personal hobbies are reading, traveling and photography.

Research projects

In 2014, my colleague Nancy Taylor (who teaches our fiber arts classes) and I worked with a small group of weaving and photography students in researching ways to print photographic images on cloth.

Off-campus study experiences

I led the 2010 and 2014 semester-long London programs. I co-led the 2009 May Term in Turkey. I also participated in our first May Term in China in 2012 and in our Women’s Soccer Team European tour in 2008.

Scholarly interest

My photographs have been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions and in several books.  My works are included in the collections of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Richmond Art Museum, the Center for Photography at Woodstock, the Tokyo Friends School, the Wanganui New Zealand Meeting House, Indiana University East, Ivy Tech Community College, The Wayne County Foundation and Reid Memorial Hospital, as well as approximately 300 corporate and private collections.
