“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”
– Alan W. Watts

Earlham Engage is a web-based platform designed to connect Earlham students, faculty and staff with service opportunities and community events posted by our community partner agencies.

Signing up for Earlham Engage takes a minute or less. Download the Earlham Engage Quick Start for basic instructions on signing up and using the site or the Earlham Engage Users Guide for more detailed information and instructions.

After signing up, users (Earlham students, faculty, staff and local community members) can:

  • Create a profile based on the causes you care about, the volunteer roles you’re interested in and the particular organizations you’d like to help.
  • Browse local agencies and service opportunities
  • Receive email notifications of new needs and events of interest to you
  • Learn about community events and activities (festivals, arts events, educational forums and more)
  • Easily respond to needs and events you’re interested in right from Earlham Engage
  • Keep track of the amount and types of service you’ve participated in
  • Produce your volunteer resume with one click

Community partners (known as agency managers on Earlham Engage) can:

  • Create an attractive agency profile with photos, links to videos, information about the agency’s mission and programs and contact information
  • Post ongoing and one-time volunteer needs
  • Share upcoming events that you’d like users to attend
  • Describe research questions and projects that might be appropriate as course assignments
  • Link to volunteer applications, background check forms and other documents you’d like users to download and complete
  • Receive emails notifying you when someone has responded to a need or RSVP’d for an event you’ve posted
  • View a report showing volunteers who have logged hours for your agency
  • Community partners may download the Earlham Engage Agency Manager Guide for complete instructions on using the site.
