Biography

Lyn Koehnline is an art conservator with 35 years of museum experience. She works with Earlham students to research, document, organize and display works from the very diverse Earlham Art Collection. Lyn is particularly interested in the various physical materials and tools to which artists have had access over the centuries and in the ways those materials impact creativity, tradition and the final appearance of artists’ work. In addition to her work at Earlham, Lyn maintains a private practice in the conservation of works of art on paper.

Earlham College, an independent, residential college, aspires to provide the highest-quality undergraduate education in the liberal arts, including the sciences, shaped by the distinctive perspectives of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
