The student to faculty ratio is 9:1. Not one of those faculty members will demand to be called “Doctor” or “Professor.” We’re all on a first-name basis — it’s a custom that goes back to our Quaker roots.

Nearly 80% found their first jobs meaningful and satisfying. Recent graduates found positions at such varied institutions as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Harlem Children's Zone, Hilton International, Japan Exchange and Teaching, and Meridian Health.

Earlham is in the top 2% of all American colleges and universities for the percentage of our graduates who eventually earn a Ph.D. Members of the Class of 2017 are currently studying at such institutions as Columbia University, Duke University, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, University of Oxford and University of Edinburgh.

Earlham graduates routinely earn competitive post-graduate awards. Recent alumni have earned the Fulbright Award, the Rhodes Scholarship, National Science Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship and the Watson Fellowship.
