Katherine Pawelczak `01

KatiepawelczakKatie Pawelczak `01 majored in biology at Earlham. While at the college she served on the faculty affairs committee, was active in Women In Science, and served as a biology tutor and TA. She completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry in 2010 from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Katie lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Josh Miller `00, and two boys, Theo and Porter Miller. She is working as a senior scientist at NERx Biosciences.

Her favorite memories from Earlham include warm spring afternoons on the heart in front of EH (her favorite dorm), late night studying/bonding sessions with friends in the science library, fellowship in the cafeteria (proud to have eaten her meals there all four years despite living off campus her senior year), and the amazing relationships she formed with various faculty across disciplines during her tenure at EC. She began her term on Alumni Council in 2015, where she is a member of the Engagement Committee.
