How can you help during the COVID-19 pandemic?
During this uncertain time, we are deeply moved by the number of Earlhamites reaching out to rally behind our students and the entire Earlham Community. Earlhamites are amazingly selfless and caring, and we are so thankful.
As you know, this situation is changing rapidly, and we are evaluating our needs on a daily basis, so keep checking back and if you have any questions or ideas, please email us at [email protected]
We are grateful for our passionate alums showing us support, and we’re thinking of you too — we’re all in this together! Take care of yourselves and each other.
Please note: Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the College has postponed all remaining Presidential events. We will re-evaluate all summer and fall alumni events as we gather more information related to the pandemic, and will share updates as they become available.
Ways you can support other Earlhamites
Sign up to volunteer
In the coming weeks, we’ll be leaning on our volunteers to help with admissions recruitment and student career development. If you haven’t done so already, please consider completing our Alumni Volunteer Form. We’ll be reaching out to alums who have completed the form for things like contacting admitted and prospective students, connecting with current Earlham students, and other opportunities as they arise.
Post a job and/or internship in Handshake
The Center for Global and Career Education utilizes Handshake, a career services platform, where you can quickly and easily post an open position or internship within your company. Earlham students use Handshake to search and apply for jobs. To get started, use this step-by-step guide. If you have questions, contact the Center for Global and Career Education at [email protected].
Connect on LinkedIn
Join the Earlham College Alumni Connection group to connect with fellow Earlhamites and current students. You’ll be able to establish student connections, share articles and job postings, and engage in conversations with other members.
Make a gift
One of the best ways to help is by making a gift to the Earlham Fund, which will immediately support the College’s greatest needs, easing budgetary stress caused by these sudden changes. Additionally, gifts made to the Dean’s Discretionary Fund will help students with emergency needs.
