Virginia Mills ’81 joined the Board as a representative of Western Yearly Meeting in 2012. She also has served Earlham in several capacities over the years. Virginia served nine years as a member on the Alumni Council, served on the Conner Prairie Advisory Board for four years and began a 12-year term as an EC Foundation member in 2000. Virginia earned her MBA at Indiana University Kelley School of Business and is a CPA. She has worked in tax accounting at Arthur Andersen & Co., ITW, and at Katz, Sapper & Miller. Virginia has also served as auditor of Western Yearly Meeting, treasurer of Valley Mills Friends Meeting, and a Sunday school teacher. Board memberships include the Children’s Museum Guild, the International Society of Indiana, the Kidney Foundation of Indiana, the Indiana Society for the Blind, and the Atheneum Foundation. She and her husband Fred ’80 reside in Mooresville, Indiana, with their three sons and enjoy traveling as a family to concerts, for dinner out and to meet friends. Virginia also has two grandsons. She likes to knit, sew and needlepoint depending on the season and is a beekeeper. Virginia has served the Board since 2012.
