  • Charlotte Ford `84 a professor of library science at Birmingham-Southern College, has been selected to receive a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar award to teach abroad.

  • Jacob Naegeli `12 finished in 155th place out of 35,000 runners in the 2014 Boston Marathon, exceeding his personal goal of finishing in the top 250.

  • Recent graduate Tory Johnson `13 penned a letter to the editor that was recently published by The New York Times. Her opinion piece concerned immigration issues in Detroit.

  • Brothers Charlie White `97 and Andy White `96 shared their company's cutting edge approach to creating home and commercial automation systems that can be controlled from a touch screen or a smart phone.

EARLHAMITES EARN RECORD NUMBER OF FULBRIGHTS

fulbright14.jpgFour students and two recent graduates from Earlham College have earned prestigious Fulbright Scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year.

The six scholarships, a record for the College, will fund ambitious research or teaching experiences in locations spanning the globe.

EARLHAM NAMED A 'GREEN COLLEGE'

greencollege.jpgEarlham College has again been recognized as a leader among its peers in environmental sustainability. The College is included in Princeton Review’s fifth annual "Guide to 332 Green Colleges."

“Green Colleges” are determined based on results of a survey conducted in 2013 of administrators at 832 four-year colleges to measure the school’s commitment to the environment and to sustainability.

ALUMNI PARTICIPATE IN 'ALUMNI CAREER COACHING'

ACC14screenshot.pngMore than 30 Earlham alumni returned to campus for the spring's largest career education event. They participated in panels, networking, and one-on-one interviews with current students.

NEW MEN'S HEAD BASKETBALL COACH NAMED

basketball14.jpgJason Polykoff has been named the next head coach of the Earlham College men’s basketball team.

Polykoff was most recently an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012-14.

BASEBALL SEASON COMES TO AN END

baseballseason14.jpgThe most successful Earlham College baseball season in the NCAA era came to an end with a 21-18 record and a 12-13 record in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The 21 wins are the most in the NCAA era for the Quakers and equals Earlham's 1969 team (21-10) with the third most victories in school history.
