Properties particularly suitable as gifts include primary residences, vacation/second homes, investment properties, inherited farms, and fractional interests in properties. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs that will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your employer's human resources department to obtain a matching gift form. Complete the employee section and mail it along with your gift to our office.
Gifts of tangible personal property that represent non-cash contributions, such as works of art, books, scientific equipment or other physical items are possible. Earlham accepts gifts in-kind that are appropriate to its mission and financially sustainable. Learn more
Gifts from a donor advised fund should be made payable to Earlham College and mailed to our office. Please consult with your donor advised fund administrator for applicable policies and procedures in recommending a grant to Earlham. Our tax ID (or EIN) number is 35-0868073. Please note that donor advised fund gifts cannot be used to satisfy a donor's pledge.
Planned giving or bequests are another valuable way to make a gift Earlham. Including the college in your will, as a designation of life insurance or retirement plans, or through a life income arrangement such as a gift annuity or trust can have a lasting impact on Earlham’s future while often simultaneously meeting personal financial goals and objectives.
The student phone-a-thon re-connects alumni and friends with Earlham. Twenty-three students, spanning all class years and areas of study, staff the program from an on-campus call center. Calls are made between Sept.-Dec. and Jan.-May.
