Planning Applying Understanding Your Award Calendar

At Earlham College, we recognize that costs are a key factor in students' college search process. We offer this guide to help students and their families prepare for investing in a high quality liberal arts education.

Federal guidelines and funding levels, Earlham's own policies, achievement scholarships and grants, state grants, outside scholarships, and students' own resources all influence the financial aid that we offer to students. Our goal is to share funding equitably across need and ability levels, so that students can choose whether or not to attend Earlham based on the quality of our academic program and not just for financial reasons.

Financial aid officers play many roles — including counselor, teacher, and policy enforcer — but our most important job is to serve as a resource for students. This guide is intended to inform students about the types of financial assistance available at Earlham, and how to access that aid.
