The board will be charged to develop and fund large programs focused primarily on students, but should interest the greater college community. The board will use the bulk of its funding to bring in large scale entertainment every 3 to 4 semesters. The goal should be to create memorable experiences for each generation of student. Examples of this type of programming might include: Aretha Franklin, Dave Matthews Band, etc. The board should be highly consultative, surveying student interest and dreams. Because of the sizeable venture we ask the committee to achieve, planning has to be a year in advance of the event. Coordination and consultation with the events committee of the college and Student Activities Board should occur to ensure smooth integration and synchronization of college wide programming.
The Board composition should be four students, two Faculty and the Director of Student Activities and the Director of Multicultural Affairs. Convener decisions will be made by consensus of the board.
