Kristin Champa, a Richmond native, was named Vice President of Institutional Advancement in March 2018. Kristin comes to Earlham from DePauw University where she worked since 2012, most recently as Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Director of School of Music Development.
While at DePauw, she managed a major gift portfolio and was personally responsible for securing more than $9M support for campus priorities. She also led a successful $25M “mini campaign” for the School of Music. In her role as AVP for Alumni Engagement she focused on repositioning the Office of Alumni Engagement to leverage the alumni network for recruitment assistance, internship opportunities and post graduate employment. She also served as Executive Director of Annual Giving and has significant experience in campaign planning and event coordination.
She has worked as a development consultant, as well as serving several organizations, including Carnegie Hall and Midori & Friends, a music education non-profit led by the celebrated violinist Midori. Trained as an opera singer, Kristin holds her Bachelor of Music degree from DePauw and a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from University of Illinois at Champaign - Urbana.
