Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s most recent novel Americanah has been awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction and named one of The New York Times Ten Best Books of the Year. Her book and visit is an extension of August’s opening convocation topic of discussion. The recipient of a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and with a list of several other award winning publications, Adichie is also listed as one of the 20 most important current fiction writers under the age of 40 by The New Yorker.
