Administrative Assistant I — Registrar's Office

Earlham College invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant I in the Registrar's Office. This is a full-time, hourly staff position with a full benefits package. The pay level is 5 with a starting rate of $10.65 per hour, with an increase to $10.80 per hour upon successful completion of 90-day introductory period.

The Administrative Assistant will demonstrate effective communications skills, the ability to work effectively as a team member, proficiency in Word and Excel skills, and the ability to be flexible with day-to-day tasks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following office tasks:

  • Coordinate official transcripts.
  • Manage the office calendar.
  • Input entries and updates to 25 LIVE — the campus calendar.
  • Serve as primary receptionist for the office.
  • Assist with Banner entries of student forms.
  • Coordinate office social media outreach to students.
  • Assist with coordination of Faculty Development opportunities.
  • Assist with administration of the LIFT Program and Training for Academic Success.
  • Support major programming of the office — Awards Convocation, First Year Reading Program, Enrollment Confirmation, Major Declaration Celebration, Celebration of Excellence and Commencement.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience with data entry, Banner or a similar program.
  • Familiarity and interest in working closely with college-age student populations.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and general secretarial experience.
