Earlham College announces an opening for a half-time Assistant Director of Choral Activities for the 2017-2018 academic year. This entry-level, one-year position is an excellent opportunity for recent recipients of graduate degrees interested in college teaching to gain experience in our vibrant choral program.
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Assistant Director will have involvement with four ensembles: conducting the Gentlemen’s Ensemble, assisting with Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus and Chamber Singers. This position also will also teach Beginning Sight Singing and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
A master's or doctoral degree in choral music education or conducting with importance placed on piano proficiency and vocal technique.
