Incoming First-Year Students
After January 1,

Indiana resident students
MUST submit their FAFSA so the processor
receives
it by March 10. Failure to meet the deadline may result in the loss of need-based financial aid.
March 1
The Financial Aid Office begins sending financial aid notices to prospective students. Return the Financial Aid Update Form if you wish to decline or reduce your student loans.
May 15
Indiana Residents —
Any "edits" must be cleared on your FAFSA with SSACI (State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana) by this date to receive state grants. SSACI will have notified you of "edits" that need your attention.
July
Accounting mails the Fall Semester bills, typically within the first two weeks with payment due by end of July. If financial aid is missing from your bill, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Instructions for applying for Perkins Loans and/or Direct Loans will be sent to you during the month by e-mail or regular mail.
If you are a parent and you mailed in your PLUS Loan Request Form, your loan papers will be sent to you during in the month.
August
We recommend you bring
at least
$500 to campus for first semester expenses (books, personal expenses).

: Work Orientation Meetings for all new students awarded Federal College Work-Study.
Registration Day:
Fall semester aid funds can be disbursed to students' accounts, once they are registered full-time. Student loan funds will not be disbursed until Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note are completed.

Accounting sends out bills for Spring Semester, payment due late December.

Students who will be attending an off-campus program for the Fall Semester are also strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA by April 1.
