Where do you live on campus? Why do you like it?
I live in the U! The rooms are beautiful and I have a walk-in closet which I have always wanted. I tend to be a very studious person which entails a lot of sitting. The fact that the U is a little bit further away from the Heart helps me to get some much needed exercise.
Tell us about your classes this semester. Which are your favorites and why?
I took 17 credits which came out to be seven classes (Principles of Chemistry, Principles of Chemistry recitation, Health Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics for Psychology, Mass Incarceration and Moral Vision, Self Defense for Women, and Biking for Sustainability). At the beginning of the year I decided to test my limit. I wanted to see what I was capable of. To be on the safe side, though, I took Mass Incarceration as pass/fail. Despite that, I put my heart and soul into that class. I really enjoyed learning about the topic. It was so emotional and awakening. I knew the basics that we went over already but the class inspired me to learn more. I also really enjoyed taking Self Defense for Women. It allowed me to gain more self confidence.
What are your plans for winter/summer break?
I plan to go home and relax. After a stressful semester full of new challenges and growth, I need rest. I also plan to go to my grandparents' house and spend time with them.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. College is expensive and I have questioned whether or not I can afford to stay here. I wouldn't be able to do so were if not for people like you. Thank you for allowing me to have such a wonderful education and be able to afford to learn everything I have learned.
