Earlham College Stables continues to host clinics with acclaimed rider and former Olympian Jurgen Gohler. Upcoming clinics will be held on October 9 and November 6 at Earlham’s Suzanne Hoerner Jackson Equestrian Center. Earlham College Stables is welcoming new members for both riding lessons as well as the equestrian cooperative for the Fall 2011 Semester! If you are interested in joining co-op, please come to our first co-op meeting on September 29 at 9 pm in Stout Meetinghouse. This meeting is mandatory for all incoming and returning co-op members.
If you are interested in joining co-op or just taking riding lessons, you should sign up online as part of your course registration. Please note that riding lessons are included as a part of your new membership in co-op, so you should not sign up for both courses! If you are interested in joining co-op, please sign up for "AWPE 109 Riding Assistants Course I" in the Fall and "AWPE 309 Riding Assistants II" in the Spring. If you just want to take just riding lessons, please sign up for "AWPE 100 Riding Lessons." Both courses are listed under the heading of "Wellness." Earlham College Stables has a few openings for boarder horses for the 2011-2012 academic year, and we still have some openings for school horses. If you are interested in boarding your horse at the facility or know of any horses that might make good additions to our program, please e-mail the barn staff. We welcome school horses of all levels and abilities, though we are particularly interested in horses that can jump.
