Visiting Design Instructor

Description

Earlham College seeks to hire a Visiting Designer/Instructor with a commitment to teaching undergraduates. This entry-level, three-year non-renewable position is an excellent opportunity for recent recipients of graduate degrees interested in college teaching to gain experience in our theatre program.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Teaching each semester includes one academic course and applied theatre labs working with theatre arts majors and non-majors alike. Production work includes multiple aspects of design of one production each semester.

Experience & Qualifications

The Department is searching for applicants with a recent MFA and/or Ph.D. with hybrid specializations in: costume design, makeup design, scenic design, lighting design and sound design (with related implementation skills), who are eager to work with enthusiastic theatre artists in this two-thirds time, with benefits, position.
